Raven Technology Solutions is a computer repair and tech support business in New Port Richey, Florida. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to information collected through raventechsol.com and to recovered files temporarily stored for customer delivery. Other service records, such as estimates and invoices, are kept as ordinary business records.

The short version

• The only information you hand us directly is what you type into our contact form: your name, email, phone, location and message.
• That form emails us. It does not save your details to a database, because this website does not have one.
• If you choose cloud delivery for recovered files, a temporary copy may be stored with a cloud provider for up to 90 days so you can download it. You may request earlier deletion.
• To slow contact-form abuse, the server temporarily keeps a salted hash of the sender's IP address and submission times in a protected file outside the public website. We treat that as pseudonymous rather than anonymous — see the contact-form section below.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits, and many of our pages show a Google Map. Both of those tell Google your IP address.
• We do not sell your information, we do not run ads, and there are no accounts or logins on this site.
• Want your message deleted? Email info@raventechsol.com or call 727-297-9370 and ask. That is the whole process.

When you fill in our contact form

The "Get an Estimate" form appears on our contact page and on most other pages of this site. It asks for five things: your name, email address, phone number, location and your message.

When you press Submit, those five fields are sent to our web server, which emails them to info@raventechsol.com. Then it is finished. Nothing is written to a database, nothing is added to a mailing list, and nothing is passed to a marketing company, a lead broker or a customer-management system. We use what you send to answer your question, quote the job and arrange the visit.

Our email is hosted on Google Workspace, so your message arrives in a Google-hosted mailbox, the same as any email you send us directly.

The form also contains one hidden field that is not part of the visible form and that you never need to fill in. It is a spam trap: if it comes back filled, we throw the submission away instead of emailing it. It collects nothing about you.

For structurally valid submissions, the server also records submission times against a salted SHA-256 hash of the sender's IP address. The salt is a random value generated on the server. It stops anyone reusing a ready-made lookup table built in advance, but we want to be straight with you about its limit: the salt is stored in the same protected file as the hashes, so someone who obtained that file could still work through the range of possible addresses and match an entry. We therefore treat these records as pseudonymous — not tied to your name, but not anonymous either. We use that temporary state only to limit repeated submissions from one address and unusually high traffic across the form. The state is kept in a protected JSON file above the public website, not in a customer database. The limit looks back one hour; expired entries are removed the next time the form processes a submission, so an expired entry can remain in the file until then. If the server cannot safely read or write the file, the form continues without rate limiting rather than discarding a genuine request.

Temporary cloud delivery of recovered files

Standard software-based data recovery can be delivered to a drive you provide, to a new drive purchased for the job, or, when that option is available and selected, through a customer-specific cloud-download link. Cloud delivery is used only when you select it. The temporary copy may contain the personal or business files recovered from your device, so Raven Technology Solutions uses it only to complete the requested recovery and delivery.

The download copy remains available for no more than 90 days and is then deleted from active recovery storage. You may ask for earlier deletion after confirming that your download is complete. The selected cloud provider may retain limited backup or security-log copies under its own technical and legal retention practices, so Raven Technology Solutions does not promise that every provider backup disappears at the exact same moment. The provider used for a recovery job will be identified in the service documentation when cloud delivery is selected.

No storage or transfer method is risk-free. Keep the download link private, save the recovered files promptly, verify that the copy opens, and maintain your own backup after delivery.

Google Analytics

Every page on this site loads Google Analytics (measurement ID G-KDZDC8J58R). It tells us how many people visited, which pages they read, roughly what area they were in, and whether they arrived from a search engine or a link. We use it to decide which pages are worth keeping and improving.

To do that, Google receives your IP address, the address of the page you are viewing and the page that sent you here, and it stores cookies in your browser named _ga and _ga_ followed by more characters.

We want to be straight with you about one thing: this site does not show a cookie banner and does not ask your permission first. Analytics starts as soon as the page opens. If you would rather it did not run, you can block cookies or scripts in your browser settings, browse in a private window, or install Google’s own Analytics opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site will break if you do.

The Google Map

Our contact page and a number of our other pages show an embedded Google Map of our shop. The map is loaded straight from Google, so Google sees your IP address and which page you were on the moment the map appears, even if you never click or drag it.

Files loaded from other companies

To keep pages loading quickly, the site pulls a few of its style and script files from three public file services instead of from our own server:

• cdnjs.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare) — icon font and a layout script
• maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com (BootstrapCDN) — the Bootstrap stylesheet and script
• code.jquery.com (the jQuery project) — the jQuery script

Because your browser fetches those files directly, each of those companies sees your IP address, your browser type and the page you were on. They send us nothing back, and we get no reports or visitor data from them.

Web server logs

This site runs on shared hosting from Hostinger. Like every web host, their servers keep standard access logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the browser used and any referring page. These logs are a normal part of running and securing a server. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not connect them to anything you have told us.

Cookies

Two kinds of cookies can end up in your browser while you are here:

• Analytics cookies, named _ga and _ga_…, are set by Google Analytics as described above. They are how Google tells a returning visitor from a new one.
• A technical session cookie, named PHPSESSID, may be set by the website software itself. It holds no information about you, is never used for tracking or advertising, is not shared with anyone, and it expires when you close your browser. Nothing on this site depends on it, so on some pages you may not receive one at all.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. This site will still work normally.

How long we keep things

• Contact form messages stay in our email inbox. We keep them while they are useful for your job and our ordinary business records. We have no automatic deletion schedule, so if you want yours gone, just ask.
• Contact-form rate-limit data consists only of salted IP-address hashes and submission times, which we treat as pseudonymous personal data rather than anonymous. The active enforcement window is one hour. Expired entries are pruned when a later submission is processed, rather than by a separate scheduled job.
• Cloud-delivered recovery files remain in active recovery storage for no more than 90 days and may be deleted earlier on request after delivery is complete. A cloud provider may retain limited backup or security-log copies under its own retention practices.
• Google Analytics data lives on Google’s systems under Google’s own retention settings. We only ever see summary reports, never a list of individual people.
• Server logs are kept and rotated by our web host on their schedule, not ours.

How to ask us to delete your information

There is no form to fill in and you do not have to give us a reason. Email info@raventechsol.com or call 727-297-9370 and tell us whether you want a contact-form message or an active recovery-delivery copy deleted. We will identify the correct record, complete the request where we control the copy, and tell you once it is done. We may need the email address, phone number, invoice number, or other job detail needed to locate the right information.

You may also ask us to remove an active rate-limit entry. Because it contains a salted hash rather than your contact details, we may need the public IP address used for the submission to identify the matching entry.

Two honest limits. If we have already done work for you, we may still keep the normal paperwork for that job, such as an invoice. And we cannot delete you from Google Analytics, because that data is not attached to your name and we have no way to find you in it — use the browser options above to stop future collection.

What this website does not do

Some things are worth saying plainly, because many privacy policies cover them whether they apply or not. This website carries no advertising and uses no ad networks or retargeting trackers. It has no accounts, no logins and no database. It does not sell, rent or trade your information. It does not add you to a mailing list. We do not ask for payment details on this site.

Services we do not control

The outside services described above — Google Analytics, Google Maps, Google Workspace, Cloudflare, BootstrapCDN, jQuery, our web host, and any cloud backup or recovery-delivery provider identified for your service — each have their own privacy practices, and so do the Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps links in our footer. Once your information reaches them, or once you click through to their sites, their own rules also apply.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging computer repair, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us something through our contact form, email or call us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove something that handles visitor information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. That date is always the current version.
